Pepino Beach at Sao Conrado.This is the far end of the 2 km long beach which we walked everyday.

Prainha Beach - 700 m of secluded beach.One of the best surfing beaches in Rio, located SW of Rio.

Praia da Barra da Tijuca - 12 km of beach - the longest in Rio.The suburb of Barra is the Miami of Rio with numerous huge shopping malls and health clubs. Rio is behind the mountains in the background.

Who knew this is how cashews grow?The cashew nut hangs from the bottom of this juicy fruit and the seed pod must be heated to extract the nut. No wonder cashews are so expensive!

On top of Pedra do Sino.It is a 3 hour climb to 2300m in Serra dos Orgaos National Park.
